Modest Cuixart i Tàpies (Barcelona, November 2, 1925 – Palamós, October 31, 2007) was a Spanish painter and one of the most representative figures of the Spanish postwar period.

He was a co-founder of the group Dau al Set together with Joan Brossa, Antoni Tàpies, Joan Ponç, Arnau Puig, and Joan-Josep Tharrats. Together, they formed one of the most important artistic and intellectual groups of the 1950s, contributing to the introduction of the second avant-garde movements of the 20th century in Spain.
