Photography is, among many other things, an attempt to fix an instant and project it into infinity. But we know that even this promise is in vain. Through a craftsman-like, almost alchemical manipulation of the photographic medium, Guido Cozzi accelerates the process of deterioration to 'go and see' what will become of those people, objects and places photographed so long ago. The result is nothing other than the revelation of our most obvious predictions — but with a surprise: the metamorphosis towards destruction sometimes passes through states of unexpected aesthetic equilibrium.
