Our 155th Auction

The Return of COLOR

As spring unfolds, sunlight lingers longer and colour returns to the world, we invite you on a journey through the great traditions of European collecting — a season shaped by connoisseurship, beauty, and enduring craftsmanship. Our story opens with an extraordinary private collection of postage stamps, assembled in the 1920s by a visionary industrialist. These miniature works of art trace shifting borders, empires, and ambitions — intimate in scale, yet vast in historical resonance.

From paper to precious stone, the narrative turns to brilliance in our Jewellery & Watches auction. A magnificent 6.79-carat unheated royal blue sapphire signed by the prestigious House of Mouawad stands among the highlights, alongside the iconic Lange 1 by A. Lange & Söhne. Luminous sapphires, vibrant emeralds, and exceptional diamonds meet horological mastery in a celebration of rarity and refinement.

Europe’s grand interiors come alive in our Decorative Arts section, where fine porcelain, sculptural clocks, and objects of virtuoso craftsmanship include an extraordinary elephant figure from Meissen. The Nineteenth-Century Paintings offering captures a world in transformation — from the powerful scenery of Seán Keating to the poetic monumentality of Hans von Marées. The season resonates further with Historical Musical Instruments, led by a superb piano by Steinway & Sons — a masterpiece of technical precision and musical artistry. It culminates in Bronze, Sculpture, and Old Master Paintings, crowned by a rare Venetian School painting in the manner of Paolo Veronese, reflecting the grandeur and theatrical splendour of the Venetian tradition.

Together, these auctions form a panorama of excellence — an invitation to collectors to step into a continuing story of beauty, heritage, and distinction. We are pleased to welcome you to our public preview from 2–8 March 2026 in Düsseldorf, open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:30 and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.
