There are several ways to view our forthcoming lots: just order a beautifully illustrated print catalogue. Browsing our catalogues at www.kunstauktionen-duesseldorf.de is a great way to discover more about what’s coming up in future sales. The catalogue descriptions contain useful information regarding the object of your affection.
We would always recommend coming to the saleroom and looking at a lot for yourself. Talk to our specialists who will always be happy to discuss the lot in greater detail. Also detailed Condition Reports are available on request. Our specialists will be happy to send you further images and information.
4 WAYS PLACING A BID
There are four ways to bid at Hargesheimer Kunstauktionen:
1. IN THE SALE ROOM
You will experience the buzz, drama and fun of bidding in a live auction. To bid in person just arrive in time to register. If you haven’t bid with us before you’ll need to fill in our Registration form.
2. LIVE BIDDING:
Our online bidding service allows you to see and hear the auction in progress giving you a real time link into the saleroom direct from your PC or your smartphone. Place your bids in real time via internet at www.liveauctioneers.com. Simply register there at least 24 hours before the sale so that we can approve you and you will be able to bid live on our auctions.
3. REGISTER TO TELEPHONE BID
Telephone bidding enables you to talk directly to a member of staff in the auction itself who will relay progress back to you and, on your instruction, bid on your behalf. Please arrange a telephone line at least 24 hours before the sale via mail, fax, email or online.
4. WRITTEN BIDS
Written bids are great if you cannot attend the auction or are not available to participate either online or on the telephone. A written bid is simply your maximum bid on your behalf. Hargesheimer is hereby authorized to bid on the listed lots up to the price stated. We will obtain the items as reasonably as possible. Just send us your written bids at least 24 hours before the sale via mail, fax, email or online.
CONGRATULATION – YOU ARE THE HIGHEST BIDDER
If you are successful you will pay the hammer price plus 25% buyer’s premium on each lot (including 19% VAT). An exception are lots with an asterisk (*) before the lot number. They are to be sold with V.A.T. and are calculated in line with standard taxation, i.e. statutory turnover tax (currently 19 %) is levied on the bid price plus 21% premium. If parties participating in an auction take purchased items into foreign countries themselves, they will be reimbursed the turnover tax as soon as we have received the export and acquirer certificate.
Successful bidders can pay immediately after buying, on the day of the auction; otherwise we will send you an invoice. You can pay by bank transfer, credit card (+ 3% administration fee) or cash. We can help you with all your transport requirements whether local deliveries or international freight.
