Description
Head fragment with finely modelled face. The hair is wavy and the ushnisha is prominently placed on the front of the head. The raised face is defined by precisely curved brows above almond-shaped eyes. The urna is embedded in the forehead. Firmly mounted on a shell limestone base. Broken areas on the back and at the base of the neck, minor abrasions. Provenance: Since the 1960s in a German private collection, Frankfurt a. M.
